Meet Vlad!
Your local Danube Delta guide

I grew up chasing dragonflies and casting fishing lines in the hidden backwaters of Romania’s Danube Delta. Today I design tailor‑made journeys that let you feel the same wonder I did as a kid.
I spent every school holiday with my grandparents in Chilia Veche, the northernmost village of the Delta. Days began at dawn: rowing out for pike, listening to pelicans slap the water, and cooking the catch over driftwood coals. Those summers taught me two things that never left:
-
Nature repairs everything. A night under willow trees is still my reset button.
-
The best travel is personal. The stories fishermen told me were worth more than any guidebook.
Between trips I live in Bucharest, but most months you’ll find me deep in the wetlands: mapping new kayak routes, leading bird‑watchers at sunrise, or pitching tents on wild sandbars. If you want a guide who’s part biologist, part storyteller and 100 % Delta‑addict, I’m your guy.

Our family resort Limanul Resort
Ten years ago my parents turned our old orchard in Chilia Veche into a 12‑room boutique retreat. Every detail honours Delta tradition:
-
Thatched roofs woven from local reed
-
White adobe walls and iconic blue‑framed windows
-
Shady herb‑and‑vegetable garden
Mornings start with still‑warm eggs from nearby smallholders (my grandma included) and crunchy vegetables straight from the garden. Evenings bring fisherman’s soup, freshly‑grilled carp, and traditional pie, just a taste of what’s possible.
Between meals, guests visit hidden lakes, sway in hammocks beside the pool, or join us for a sunset boat tour. Staying with us isn’t “checking in to a hotel”; it’s borrowing a family home, steeped in culture, upgraded for comfort.
